The prophets of Old prophesied about the coming of the Messiah, the King of Israel. John, the author of the Gospel According to John, clearly showed that Jesus fulfilled many prophecies. His intent is to show that, without a doubt, the reader must believe in the claims of Christ. And through genuine belief, one may find salvation. However, not everyone would believe in Him, even this was prophesied.
